Washing Hands

Dear Valued Patients:

Internal Medicine of Southwest Florida has new office procedures during the covid 19 pandemic.

It is our priority to create a safe and secure environment for both patients and staff.

Our office will be following the recommended guidelines from public health authorities, including the Center for Disease Control (CDC) best practices for hygiene and infection control.

What we are doing to prepare for your visit:

  • Screening all patients upon confirmation of appointments

  • Limiting patient contact

  • Telehealth visits as per Medicare guidelines

  • Limiting building traffic to only those patients who have appointments or urgent needs

  • Only the patient is asked to attend, unless a caregiver is necessary.  Family and friends may wait in their vehicles.

  • Limiting number of patients waiting in our lobby

  • Arranging exam room furniture for social distancing

  • Thoroughly disinfecting exam rooms before and after each patient visit

  • Newspapers, magazines and other paper materials have been decreased to prevent transmission of infection.

  • All patients and caregivers are required to wear a mask that covers nose and mouth when entering our buildings and offices.

  • We may ask that you wait in your car in preparation for your visit.

  • Please do not bring food, drinks or packages into our offices.

Thank you kindly in advance for following our guidelines during your visit!
